Commercial air hygieneA specialist service needs a website people can rely on
Cleaning Concerns provides kitchen grease-extraction, air-duct and range or fryer cleaning for commercial premises across Devon, Cornwall, Avon and Somerset. Its clients need to understand the work itself, but also the standards followed, the evidence supplied afterwards and the relationship between regular cleaning, fire risk and insurance requirements.
When Andy Harris contacted Cornerstone in October 2024, the existing website was no longer helping the business explain those things. Its contact route was not working, the site had been neglected and its hand-coded structure made updates difficult. Continuing to patch the old build would not solve the underlying problem, so Cleaning Concerns chose to replace it with a new WordPress website.
The project extended beyond the pages. Cornerstone also helped move the domain away from the previous arrangement, established a business email account and supported the client through the changeover. Cleaning Concerns gained a website it can update directly, with Cornerstone still available when help is needed.
What the project included

- Business email setup and configuration support
- Client editing access
- Hosting, maintenance, domain management and ongoing support

Replace a website that had stopped doing its job
The immediate problem was not a matter of appearance. Andy had only recently discovered that the website’s contact route was not working. A prospective customer could visit the site, but Cleaning Concerns could not rely on receiving the enquiry.
Cornerstone’s initial review also found that the website did not use HTTPS and had been built as static HTML. That made it harder to maintain, update and support as the business changed.
Rather than spend more time working around those limitations, Cornerstone replaced the old site with a new WordPress build. The work began with the functions Cleaning Concerns needed to depend on, then developed the design and content structure around them.

A business website has to do the basics reliably before its design can earn attention.
The replacement began with dependable contact routes and a maintainable WordPress foundation.
Give a technical service a clearer structure
Cleaning Concerns works in an area where the practical service, supporting evidence and insurance context are closely connected. Presenting everything as one long block of technical information would make it harder for a prospective client to find what matters to them.
The replacement website separates the main services into kitchen grease-extraction, air-duct cleaning and range or fryer cleaning. A dedicated insurance page brings the relevant standards, certification and compliance information together, while the homepage introduces the maintenance and fire-safety context before directing visitors to the appropriate service.
Telephone, mobile and email details remain visible, with a contact page and request-a-callback form providing clear next steps. A restaurant operator, commercial kitchen or facilities contact can move from a practical concern to the relevant service, understand the available documentation and get in touch without having to decode the whole subject first.

Specialist information is more useful when people can find the part that applies to them.
Clear service routes and a dedicated insurance area help commercial clients reach the right information and next step.
Show the work using the client's own material
Andy and Megan supplied the website wording, purchased stock images and before-and-after photographs from completed jobs. The working photographs are particularly valuable because they show what the service involves in a way that generic cleaning imagery cannot.
Cornerstone structured the supplied copy and images within the new site, refining their presentation and removing visible dates from selected photographs at the client’s request. The service content now includes before-and-after examples identified by locations across the South West, including Dawlish, Taunton, Torquay, Exeter, South Molton, Plymouth and Bristol.
The result gives prospective clients something concrete to assess. The website does not rely on broad claims about standards or thoroughness when Cleaning Concerns can show real examples of the work.

Real working photographs explain the service more clearly than generic cleaning imagery.
Client-supplied before-and-after examples give prospective customers a direct view of completed work.
Refine an existing identity for consistent use
Cleaning Concerns already had a logo, so the project did not begin with a blank-sheet rebrand. Andy supplied the existing mark and gave Cornerstone scope to reconsider its fonts and colours as part of the website work.
Cornerstone reconstructed the supplied logo, refined the wider visual treatment and developed the website around the updated identity. A supporting brand document recorded the logo, colour and typography choices so that Cleaning Concerns could use them consistently beyond the site.
This gave the business a more coherent presentation while preserving the identity its customers already knew. The change was considered and useful, without pretending that everything had to be replaced simply because the website was new.

A new website did not require Cleaning Concerns to abandon a recognisable identity.
Cornerstone reconstructed the supplied logo and brought its colours and typography into a consistent visual system.
Handle the domain and email as part of the changeover
Replacing the website also meant moving beyond the previous domain arrangement. Cornerstone worked through the access and transfer process, pointed the domain to the new website and moved it to a new registrar.
A new business email account was established at the Cleaning Concerns domain, with practical help to configure it on Andy’s computer and phone. Those details sat outside the visible page design, but they mattered to whether the new arrangement worked in daily use.
For Cleaning Concerns, the launch was complete only when the website could be reached at the right address, enquiries had somewhere dependable to go and the connected services were usable. Cornerstone handled those parts as one changeover rather than leaving the client to join them together afterwards.

A website launch is only useful when the services connected to it work too.
Cornerstone brought the website, domain and business email into one supported arrangement.
Stay available after the new site goes live
Cleaning Concerns can update the website directly, but it does not have to solve every technical or design issue alone. Cornerstone continues to provide hosting, maintenance, domain management and business email, with wider help available when the site needs attention.
That support has continued beyond the original build. When a software update later caused a page-loading problem, Cornerstone investigated the cause and replaced the affected component. Subsequent conversations have covered hosting, email help and domain renewal.
The important point is not the individual fault. It is that Cleaning Concerns still has someone familiar with the website and its connected services to contact when something changes.

The build solved the immediate problem. Ongoing support keeps the website useful.
Cleaning Concerns has day-to-day editing access, with Cornerstone available for content, design, functionality and technical support.
A website that now supports the work behind it
The Cleaning Concerns website gives a specialist air-hygiene business a clearer and more dependable public presence. Its principal services have distinct routes, the insurance and standards context is easier to find, and real before-and-after material helps prospective clients understand the work.
The project also resolved the practical problems surrounding the old site. Cornerstone replaced the ageing build, reconstructed and refined the supplied identity, handled the domain and email changeover and remains involved in supporting the finished website.
Cleaning Concerns can manage routine updates itself or ask Cornerstone for help. That balance gives the client control without leaving the business alone with the technical parts of its online presence.
