Welcome to Cornerstone Websites, a web design company based in the heart of Kingsbridge, Devon. We are a small but dynamic team passionate about helping businesses in the South Hams, throughout Devon, and across the South West achieve their online potential. With a collaborative approach and a strong connection to our local community, we combine technical expertise, creative flair, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Our Journey
Cornerstone Websites began as a natural extension of our founder Scot Baston’s skills and passions. Originally building websites for Cornerstone Photography, Scot combined his technical background in software development with his creative photography expertise. As word spread, he began creating tailored web solutions for small businesses. Over time, we have specialised in serving the hospitality and branded B2B sectors, while continuing to support local enterprises.
Meet the team
Scot Baston
Founder & Lead Developer
With a background in software development and a Postgraduate from Aston Business School, Scot combines technical expertise and creativity to craft bespoke web solutions. As a seasoned commercial photographer and founder of Cornerstone Photography in 2009, Scot’s unique skill set helps bring brands to life online.
His extensive world travels and over 30 years of martial arts training instil a sense of discipline and fresh perspective into his work. Scot is also deeply involved in the local community as Vice-Chair of the South Hams Chamber of Commerce, where he works to forge links between businesses and support regional growth.
When he’s not coding, you might find him training with a spear, learning a new skill, or collaborating with local organisations to create opportunities for businesses in the South Hams.
Juliette Emilie
Website Designer
Juliette’s talent for design is rooted in her Dutch background and her international education. She studied interior architecture in Belgium and later expanded her expertise while studying 3D design in Leeds, UK. In 2010, she decided to make the UK her home, bringing with her a fresh, global perspective that informs her work.
With an eye for detail and a knack for balancing aesthetics with functionality, Juliette creates websites that are as visually compelling as they are user-friendly. Her passion for sustainable gardening often inspires her design philosophy, focusing on harmony, natural beauty, and eco-friendly principles.
When she’s not crafting websites Juliette is likely in her garden, turning compost into gold, or so Scot claims. She also helps to promote sustainable gardening practices in the local community.
Our Local Connection
We are proud to call Kingsbridge home and have a deep understanding of the South Hams and its surrounding areas. This local insight allows us to craft web solutions that reflect the unique character of the region and meet the needs of its businesses.
Our commitment to the community runs deep. From collaborating with the South Hams Chamber of Commerce and Kingsbridge Community College to launch the South Hams Jobs Board, we actively work to strengthen our local economy and inspire sustainable growth.
